Tom Hodge is an award-winning composer and musician based between London and Cork in southern Ireland. He studied Social and Political Science at Cambridge University and later completed a Master’s in Composition for Screen at the Royal College of Music.

His singular production style and high-concept creativity have found their way into German state ballet, the New York runway and numerous award-winning advertising campaigns. He is a regular collaborator with Max Cooper, both recorded and on stage. A Portrait of John Doe with Floex on Mercury KX won them a Czech ‘Grammy’. Three highly exploratory albums with Piano Interrupted and one with Second Moon of Winter can be found on niche German label Denovali.

Over the last decade, he has brought this searching musicality and critical lens to incredibly wide-ranging TV and film projects. Equally at home with anything from action thrillers to coruscating human rights documentaries, his credits include five films with Academy Award winner Kevin Macdonald [THE MAURITANIAN], two critically acclaimed dramas with James Watkins [MCMAFIA] and an Ivor nomination for his score to the BBC/PBS series RISE OF THE NAZIS.

His score for Aoife Kelleher’s TESTIMONY won Best Original Film Score at the 2026 Ivor Novello Awards, cementing his reputation as one of the most distinctive voices in original score.
