Tom can be found gigging around London with his band Piano Interrupted. Piano Interrupted's 2nd EP is available here
Piano Interrupted is the brain child of Franz Kirmann and Tom Hodge. What began as a studio project blending their respective disicplines of classical minimalism and electronica has developed into a fully-formed improvising group playing in various forms and sizes from trio to sextet
Here is Piano Interrupted as a cello trio, featuring Franz Kirmann on laptop and Greg Hall on cello.
Recorded as part of Broadcast 2000's "Shed Sessions," it involved setting up my rare little 5 octave piano in Joe Steer's shed, and cramming in Franz and Greg as well, not to mention Joe with his trusty video camera.
One take later and that was that.
Check out some of the other awesome Shed Session performers here.
And this trio features Eric Young on drums with the ever-present Franz Kirmann.
From our latest EP, this is an improvisation on VI.
